Biography: I can’t think of any job I’d rather be doing than chartering a boat in the Gulf of Mexico! Every day brings something new on the open ocean.I love it when customers tell me that I took them on the best and most memorable trip of their life. I began running my own boat in early 2007, and it didn’t take me long to realize that people come on fishing trips to have a good time and to get away from work and other stressors. Ultimately, my goal is to ensure that everyone on board has the best time possible…and I love giving people an experience they’ll never forget. Born and raised in Metairie, Louisiana, I’ve been hunting and fishing all over southeast Louisiana with my father and friends for as long as I can recall. In high school, I became interested in studying law, but deep down, I wanted to be a guide. After graduating from Jesuit High School in New Orleans, I went to work for my father doing construction and home remodeling. That lasted for about three and a half years, during which I also spent part of my time studying law. Finally, though, I realized that I wanted to pursue my ultimate dream of being a charter captain. I started Voodoo Fishing Charters in February of 2007 and now we are currently running 4 offshore boats consisting of a 39' yellowfin, 2-36' yellowfins and a 36' contender. We also have 3 lodges and offer inshore and duck hunting charters as well.
